About SICPP

SICPP is an 8-day intensive seminar on the performance of 20th and 21st century music, culminating in a day-long marathon of explosive new music, a smorgasbord of masterworks and world premieres by composition fellows.

Each summer, SICPP celebrates the music of a Composer-in-Residence, and invites multiple Guest Artists who give solo performances and masterclasses throughout the week. Previous guests have included: Tristan Murail, Christian Wolff, Kim Kashkashian, Steffen Schleiermacher, Vinko Globokar, Jonathan Harvey, and more!

Callithumpian Consort, SICPP’s Ensemble-in-Residence, has been an integral part of Boston’s new music scene since the 1980’s. In addition to performing several concerts, Callithumpians embed within student ensembles for the week, creating a unique environment of immersive coachings.
