Application Requirements

Performance Program Application Requirements

  • CV or resume
  • Recordings (if possible)
    • 1 contemporary selection
    • 1 standard repertoire
  • Letter of recommendation (optional, but strongly suggested)
  • A list of any prospective chamber works you are interested in working on during SICPP (optional)
  • Solo repertoire you will have prepared before SICPP, and would like to be considered for performance in masterclass and/or on midday concerts at the Gardner Museum (percussion midday concert will be at NEC) (optional)

New Works Program Application Requirements

  • Bio or artist’s statement
  • At least one, up to three (3) works to be considered for performance at SICPP.
    • Works for no more than 6 players (any instrumentation welcome, basic use of electronics permitted)
    • Recordings of performances of submitted works are optional but strongly suggested when possible
  • Letter of recommendation (optional)

Electronics Workshop Application Requirements

  • Bio or artist’s statement
  • A specific proposal for a project/piece you would like to focus on throughout the week, whether for live performance or an installation
  • Work samples such as video, audio, scores, etc. (optional)
  • Letter of recommendation (optional)

Auditor Requirements

All are welcome to audit SICPP – no application is necessary. Registered auditors are able to attend all of the daily SICPP events taking place at NEC, including all concerts, the New Works colloquia, Electronic Workshop colloquia and seminars, masterclasses given by SICPP faculty and guest artists, and all open rehearsals throughout the week.

You can apply to be a SICPP 2020 auditor in spring 2020! The link will be posted above when available.

Submitting a Recommendation Letter

  • Recommendation letters should be emailed to as an attachment. (Do not include the letter in the body of the email.)
  • Letter should be in one of the following formats:
    • PDF
    • Word document (*.doc or *.docx)
    • Google Doc.
